"Not even the slightest detail is going to be a act of chance. We want total freedom to release the music we have within us". This motto was the foundation when David (vocals), Anders Alexander (producer, drums) and Niki (guitars) formed The LUNGZ in the fall of 2001. All three members of the LUNGZ have developed their own piece of the LUNGZ's puzzle. A.Alexander, the musical engine and sound creator. David, the beautiful voice with the big expression. Niki, the cutting edge guitarist and the rock n´ roll counterpoint to his band mates. This combination and the solid friendship between them make the soul core of the LUNGZ. The LUNGZ are three childhood friends that grew up on the south Swedish countryside and wanted nothing more than to break free from shut and narrow-minded life of their community. The predictable and soon-to-be adult life led the three friends closer to each other and in 1995 they formed their first band, Bess, with two friends. Bess toured and played at festivals in Sweden until the end 1999 when the two other members of Bess dropped of. David, Nikki and Alexander moved on to form the band Millionaires but were force to break with the record company less then 3 months before their debut releases after the sudden and devastating death of the record company owner. The struggle went on the three members became even closer. Determined not to give up David, Niki and A.Alexander started the jamming and recording all over again. The stubbornness has paid of. Art Herman, the president of Zip Records got hooked on the guys and less then one year after the break up from Millionaires, the three friends signed with Zip Records and formed The Lungz. Since the release in Sweden the LUNGZ have had great success. Their first singel "Fanatic" immediately got pick up by Swedish radio and was the 13th most air played song on the big national and commercial radio station group Radio Match in Sweden 2002. The second singel "It's alright" went straight top ten on MTV's hit list "Upnorth". The Singel also had rotation between November and February on Swedish national music channel ZTV. The LUNGZ debut album "At last..." also made a big impression on MTV in the US and six out of the ten songs got signed to be a part of the enormously popular MTV real world series "Fraternity Life" and "Sorority Life". The LUNGZ debut album "At last... are set to be release in every major territory world wide in 2003 and 2004.
